Nothing fantastic and overpriced. Portion was small and wasn’t as delicious as I thought it would be! I social portion coats $5.50 WITHOUT RICE

To me, chicken rice is always the number one food to fall back on when I'm not sure what to eat. It's good comfort food and it always reminds me of home (especially when I'm overseas!)

I always thought chicken rice tastes the same everywhere but boy was I wrong. It's definitely one of the best chicken rice I've ever tasted!

Chicken was tender and flavourful, and the RICE 😍 Super fragrant and firm, I loved it!

Ordered some sambal kangkong and some prawns (I don't remember what kind) and they were all good! All in all a really satisfying lunch. ☺️

Service is nothing to shout about but it isn't bad either, just a simple and fuss-free place to get some homely comfort food. Prices are very reasonable too. Will probably be back for more!

Overall, the dishes were good. The main attraction is to eat the Kampong Chicken which I'm not a fan of. Do try it and taste the difference yourself.

Ordered half roast and half white. Why are both drumsticks white? 😂😂😂 They have a missing roast chicken leg. Are you a roast or white chicken person? I prefer white.

Omelettes never fail to make an appearance every time we eat out, no matter how easy it is to replicate it at home because my dad knows how much I love eggggs!
Though they could definitely have been more generous with the ingredients, the prawns were fresh and bouncy. I thought they cooked the egg well too- not overly oily and had just the right amount of seasoning.

Other dishes we had:
1. Sliced Fish Soup with Bittergourd ($5.50); this was a miss for us because it was really bland. Unfortunately, we ordered 2 bowls of this and it was pretty hard to finish.

2. Salted Egg Prawns ($15): We were all expecting the prawns to come deshelled but they weren't. We didn't really mind because the shells were soft and was coated with the sauce, but the sauce itself didn't really have much of the salted egg taste. More sweet, and if anything, I wished it came with more of the sauce so that I'd be able to savour it fully.

3. Sambal Kang Kong (M:$13)

Overall, while there were more misses than hits with their zi-char style dishes, I do understand why people return and really, it's about that chicken.

This is a must order for me everytime we come.
Fried tofu is generously doused with Thai chilli sauce, with the latter being more sweet than spicy. I really like spicy food but this was good too, because it means that non-spice takers would be able to enjoy this as well! What sealed the deal was the crunchy onion slices that provided extra flavour and texture to the dish.
