51 Tras

For Aburi Chee Cheong Fan
Nestled within the Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood is 51 tras, a new minimalistic cafe that has garnered some hype for their flame-seared rendition of the classic chee cheong fan. Their Aburi Chee Cheong Fan ($14++) comes with an extra savoury sauce, a perfectly oozy onsen egg, and umami chilli sambal to boot. If you’re after some pastries, be sure to try their Laksa Quiche ($7) and Heibi Hiam Brioche Feuillete ($8), both sourced from Tigerlily Patisserie at Joo Chiat.

Homeground Coffee Roasters

For Quality Home Brews & Fusion Dishes
Homeground’s new and improved outlet at Teo Hong promises carefully curated home brewed coffee made from the very best equipment. But that’s not all, they’ve also taken it upon themselves to revamp their menu with sharing dishes such as the Baked Brie ($19), the Beef Tartare ($29), and of course, the Chorizo Kimchi Stew ($28), a unique take on the classic Korean dish.

Casa Pietrasanta

For Degustation Menus Under $75
Looking for affordable Italian private dining restaurants? Well, look no further because Casa Pietrasanta at One North offers degustation menus under $75. A spin-off from the ever-popular Ristorante Pietrasanta, this new space brings the same refined tastes of Chef-owner Loris Massimini’s Italian-Mediterranean dishes except curated for smaller, and more intimate group settings.

Some signature dishes to look out for are the Seabass Carpaccio, the Cinta Tonnata which is essentially thinly sliced Korobuta pork shoulder, and the Risotto Escargot which can be found in their 3-course and 4-course menus (prices vary).

Aroma Coffee

For Specialty Coffee
Passionate about specialty coffee, the co-founders of Aroma Coffee set up their shop with aims to brew mind-blowing concoctions that’ll cater to the more sophisticated taste buds. In fact, they only use speciality grade single origin beans, and are unafraid to experiment with different natural ingredients to add depth and complexity to their brews. This is reflected in their best-selling Spreeze coffees which come in flavours such as Vineyard Peach, Mellow Melon, and Perky Peppermint.

Sooner Or Later

For Savoury Croissants
Sooner or later you’re going to want to get your hands on these savoury croissants! Featuring flavours like Egg Mayo ($7), Thai Chicken ($10), and Mentaiko Crab Meat ($18), these buttery pastries are stuffed to the brim with a generous amount of ingredients before being drizzled with sauce. As the name suggests, the latter comes with crab meat, mentaiko, and tobiko, and is even flame torched before being served.

Be sure to pair this with their signature Black Sesame ($8) latte! And, if you’re all about that oat milk life, you might want to top up $1 to have that as an add-on.
