L’angelus

For A Festive French Menu
An exciting holiday season awaits at L'Angélus! From 1 to 31 December 2022, Singapore’s oldest traditional French restaurant will be offering a mouth-watering 3-Course Festive Menu ($98). Helmed by Head Chef Benjamin Yip, their kitchen consistently serves top-notch authentic French cuisine and this festive spread is certainly no exception.

Diners can look forward to starting the meal with irresistible entrées such as the Poached Foie Gras, Hyogo Oysters or the Hand-Cut Black Angus Beef Tartare. Mains to be had include the luxurious Miso Glazed Deep Sea Australian Toothfish, the succulent Crispy Skin Moulard Duck Breast, as well as the comforting Slow-Cooked US Short Rib.

And finally, end off the meal on a sweet note with either the Mont Blanc or the
Omelette Norvégienne ($6 supplement) which is also known as the Baked Alaska. The latter is flambéed tableside with a robust dark rum.

PAUL

For A Tasty Roast Turkey
Let the holiday season begin with PAUL’s Christmas goodies! If you’re looking to order a whole turkey for the family, look no further because they’ve got their classic signature Herbes de Provence roast turkey (approx 3.5-4.5kg/$169) on hand. This is stuffed with cornbread and chestnuts, and comes with a side of roasted vegetables, as well as their very own apricot jam & roasted pepper gravy. You can even add on some sides such as the Thai rice crackers ($10 for 100g) or the deep-fried chicken rice balls ($15 for 10 balls) to complete the feast.

Tapas, 24

For Seasonal Spanish Tapas
A range of satisfying seasonal dishes awaits at Tapas, 24! Served in the quintessential tapas style, their plates are designed for convivial sharing. Chef Carolina has taken it upon herself to come up with vegetarian and seafood options instead of just the usual meat-focused dishes—these include the Tár Tar de Tomate ($12) that comes with a side of toast and the Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Ceps ($12) which is essentially Porcini stuffed in piquillo peppers. These two dishes are best complemented by the Bodega Mengoba, Bierzo Godello Sobre; a medium-bodied white wine boasting complex flavours.

Don’t leave without finishing off with a cocktail/mocktail of your choice! Try either the Berry Christmas Cocktail ($20) which is an invigorating concoction of raspberry syrup, lime and cava, or the Jolly Santa’s Secret ($20), an avant-garde creation of Gonzalez Byass Nectar Pedro Ximénez Sherry, milk and dark chocolate sauce. A non-alcoholic version (the Jolly Elf’s Secret) is also available in both hot and cold renditions!
