Very rare to find chocolate crème brûlée. Not used to not seeing the caramelised sugar layer on top. It wasn’t too sweet. Interesting twist to the usual one.

Perfectly cooked fresh salmon with grilled vegetables. The salmon was flaky and flavourful but the skin wasn’t very crisp.

Set within KL's Le Meridien Hotel, this Italian restaurant upkeeps a stellar reputation for both food and ambience. The atmosphere inspires with Venetian vibes, and the couch seatings willl comfortably accomodate group dinners. For special occasions with the family, put your money on here. Begin with Milan-born chef Domenico's bestselling Salmon and Seabass Carpaccio (RM56), a bright, appetising starter of thinly sliced fish. The union of salmon roe, toasted pine nuts and a microcress salad results in a uniquely light yet luxurious bite. Move on to mains with the Sardinian Malloreddus (RM47). This little-known pasta variant of tiny semolina shells is Sardinian's national dish, and a must-order here. Slow-cooked for over eight hours in a luscious lamb shoulder sauce, every mouthful is a party of meaty flavours. As for dessert, have it all in the Three Italian Delights (RM44) — a trio of panna cotta, chocolate mousse and tiramisu served in glasses.

A gorgeous restaurant in Le Meridien, Favola boasts an inviting atmosphere and stellar food. Serving probably the best assortment of complimentary breads in town, you know you're in for a real treat when you get your hands on these warm, fresh breads. The squid ink pasta here steals the show with smoked duck and Favola’s premium olive oil. Also order the Venetian pizza loaded with prawns, lobster, calamari and scallops, but be sure to save your stomach for dessert. The gorgonzola pudding might seem like a strange item, and it's sure to surprise you - in a good way! Price-wise, you may have to fork out more than you usually would, but it’s the best place to spoil yourself at.
This is a dessert that originated from Sicily, Italy. It looks like a cake but isn’t a cake. The tip of the slice is cream with chopped nuts inside. The 3 layers in green, pink and white is actually ice-cream. It was nice but I feel like I was just eating ice-cream cake.
This is RM36.
Another one of my go-to at Italian restaurants that has it. Gnocchi in cream cheese with chopped walnuts. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked. The cream cheese was a bit to much for me, probably better if this is shared. I like the walnuts since its not common.
This is RM50.
This place is good for date nights and special occasions. If you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary, they provide complimentary balloons and dessert. Just let them know when you’re making your reservation.
