Nested in a relatively ulu part of singapore, this is definitely worth your trip! The waffles are crispy on the outside and airy and light inside. Try this heavenly concoction -top it up with the steaming hot salted egg yolk sauce, caramel with lavender at the side & earl grey lavender icecream. Yums😄
The Mango Chilli Tea ice cream flavour…it was really good?! It falls under their Premium Flavours. It was light, sweet, slightly citrusy, mildly reminiscent of mango, and pretty refreshing, but it had a tinge of smoky flavour. 🌶
I was expecting some acid, spiciness from the chilli, but surprisingly (and thankfully), they were absent. I also adore how creamy and smooth the ice cream was. Everything here feels like it was made from scratch, based on a constantly refined recipe (I'm just assuming here). I loved it. What an expertly crafted flavour of ice cream. If this was a Mortal Kombat character, it'd emerge with a Flawless Victory. (8.5/10)
I haven't dropped by Fatcat Ice Cream Bar in at least half a year, and I was genuinely surprised when I saw this flavour (among some new ones) in the freezer display! It sounded too interesting to pass up on, and I saw there wasn't much of it left.
Anyway, the way the flavours played with my palette was glorious. The smoky, toffee-like sweetness was evident as soon as I ingested this. I was then shyly greeted with a familiar buttery flavour. As soon as I thought that was over, a couple of seconds later, a jot of salty taste surfaced, though only for a split second. Besides that, the ice-cream was so creamy, silky smooth. The kernel of this paragraph, you ask? Well, I'm just saying that it was really popping. 🍿🍦
As far as I can remember in all my previous visits, their flair for executing flavours is actually quite a normal affair. I must say that I'm most impressed by how their food quality hasn't nosedived, let alone been shaken at all, after three years. Mad props to them for the steady and effective quality control! I seriously appreciate it.
But listen. As fantastic as this was, there was actually another flavour that stole my heart. Keep a lookout for it in my next post! 😌 (8/10)
Premium Assam Tea ice cream ($4.50) on top of our charcoal waffle, with salted egg yolk sauce that we soon poured over! $12.65, sinful yet pretty tasteful!
Charcoal waffles with salted egg yolk custard sauce ($6 w/out ice cream) 🥚.
🍴A unique & insta-worthy combi. Felt like the salted egg sauce didn't go well with the ice cream but still enjoyed it overall ⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️

Colour me festive, thats what I felt when i sank my mouth into this seasonal special at Fatcat.
Gingerbread waffles, you swept me off my feet. You are a genius creation and every bite of you was just mouth after mouth of Christmas. You were paired so well with the cinnamon powder and the tart cranberry sauce which reminded me of the staple cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving.
I have much to give thanks for savouring you oh so deliciously. And paired with the explosive Smoked Peppermint ice cream. No, you are not going to get the run of the mill Peppermint Choc Chip ice cream you see everywhere. The minute I sank my mouth into you, I immediately thought of "Spearmint", wonderful refreshing spearmint which evoked the Christmas spirit in me. No, you do not taste like toothpaste or Listerine. You are so much more precious than that, baby. You are a genius creation.
How about getting this at $68.90 from @fatcatsg 😋
PS: The price indicated is for the entire cake not for single slice.
$4.50 for a scoop of tasteful earl grey Lavender ice cream. Very high quality ice cream from a quaint neighbourhood joint. Will be back for the other desserts
But it's at their pop up booth! And it's free SALTED EGG ice cream! Salted egg! With dry ice for ultimate dramatic effect and weird toppings galore 😍😍😍. It tasted like the real salted egg yolk but isn't overkill at all! What magic is this. I really like it. Giannnnnn.
Thanks to Frosted Flair at Mandarin Galley, I managed to taste the salted egg yolk ice cream by FatCat. It was light and was not 'jalek' for me, which made me craving for more. I loved the edible flowers, fruits and lavender toppings.
Charcoal Waffles with a single scoop of their amazing flavoured ice creams! Both black sesame and thai milk tea were lovely with the charcoal waffles and the caramel sauce and they melt at the perfect speed for my slow eating self HAHA A bit difficult to find since it was in a bit of an obscure location but definitely worth it! Definitely would try the butterbeer one next time!
We all appreciate a good weekend after a hard week at work. How about starting your weekend brunch with fatcat?

Yup, Sorbet! You've probably tried strawberry or lemon, but banana?
So I've heard of this menu called Reverse Smores -- never knew it's banana sorbet inside. Kinda hesitated to order when i read it on the spot, but you can't really mess up a banana dessert, can you? So there you go!
Dark-choco Thins topped with banana sorbet [and some white chocolate -- i believe], covered in lightly torched marshmallow, crowned with 3 beautiful caramel thins, seated on a beautiful wood-ish plate, in a cloud dome. [Inside-out description 😂] If you love banana and have major sweet-tooth, opt for this! 😍

This bowl is loaded with salmon sashimi, watermelon, avocado, grapefruit and topped with a glorious 62°C egg. A rather comforting rice bowl.
