Literally a mooncake eclair that comprises of salted egg yolk pastry cream, premium lotus paste, sliced almonds topped with homemade mooncake pastry crunch. The salted egg yolk pastry cream is made from real salted egg yolks into a thick, creamy consistency that bears a distinctive flavour coupled with a subtle lingering saltiness. The homemade lotus paste was embedded with sliced almonds for an added crunch, resembling the fillings in a traditional mooncake. Though I had left the eclair overnight in the refrigerator, the taste was just as great, with the eclair puff pastry retaining a crisp exterior and a soft, pillowy interior. I would have preferred more crispness in the mooncake pastry crunch though. (PS: These seasonal eclairs are only available till 8th Oct!) Hurry and head down to try now if you have not done so! 😉 .
