We just found out that there was a Tiong Bahru Bakery (TBB) outlet hidden at the top level of Funan and we decided to give it a try! The cafe was bright and the interior was well-lit and unlike some of their other outlets, this one is pretty spacious, which makes for a more comfortable dining experience.

We got the green tea almond croissant today as it is one of our favourite items at TBB and the cafe is famous for their croissants anyway. However, we were quite disappointed because this croissant is not as crispy/flaky as the same croissant ordered at other TBB outlets (e.g., TANGS and Raffles City) and it was also not as buttery as well. The only saving grace was that the taste of green tea was quite evident in the pastry's exterior. We are probably not going to get the croissants at this outlet again... 😰😰😰

Another thing to note is that this outlet only has pastries on weekdays and it only serves cooked food (e.g., it's brunch and dinner menus) only on weekends. Hence, if you are planning to come for those, you should try other nearby branches like the one at Raffles City.
