The brunch menu that is available until 3pm features two new items, one of them being the Chicken and Sourdough Waffle ($19) that has buffalo mozzarella cheese melted on the waffle itself. This dish is served with a Sriracha cream that is served by the side and topped with roasted watermelon and pickled cucumber that helps to add a touch of sweetness, smokiness, and tanginess to the overall flavour.

Available from 11am, the lunch menu has a good variety of dishes from mains to sharing plates. The Kale & Strawberry Salad ($22) was the standout for me, and it has a caramelised goat cheese at the middle to give it a nice smoky and creamy touch while the other accompanying ingredients of almond, tahini, pomegranate, chickpeas, sundried figs and honey emulsion all played a part in balancing the flavours and texture, making this salad a must-try in my recommendations. The other main that we have gotten is the Crab Dashi Linguine ($24) that screams ‘seafoody’ and umami. The eggless linguine is joined by the generous serving of crab meat cooked in a dashi cream and added with pickled kombu in ponzu, edamame, sesame seeds and lemon breadcrumbs. Perhaps a little more lemon zest might help to cut through the richness of this dish, but otherwise this is a hearty and moreish pasta dish.

Lastly, the Granny’s Apple Tart ($12) with vanilla ice cream ($4) was the perfect ending of the meal as the tart is made with an oat crumble with a frangipane crème and apple cubes spiced with cinnamon and cooked in a miso caramel sauce. The addition of the vanilla ice cream rounds off this dessert perfectly.
