This had got to be the best buffet in Singapore. Just the Colony-style lobster made everything worth it. Grab them early or you will have to queue for it. I liked the popiah and kuey pie tee which were only available on fridays. The popiah had a lovely garlicky sauce that surprised me. Usually local delights at buffets have a funny taste that are not authentic at all but not this one. Their grilled prawns, black pepper prawns and satay were very nice too. And I must talk about the chili crab. I detest chili crabs at buffets. Cos usually the sauce is almost like ketchup and lack any punch. But this was fabulous! It tasted like how a good chili crab in Singapore should taste like. Spicy and garlicky and so Singaporean. I went for seconds. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Wanton noodles were good but Colony laksa was the bomb! I had 2 bowls! And I liked their aglio olio. Very spicy with lots of garlic. Their chilled juices did a good job in dousing the fire in my mouth. Despite not having a sweet tooth, I was bowled over by their choc truffles. I couldn't stop popping them in my mouth, which had never happened to me before. I totally missed out on the tandoor items cos I just couldn't swallow anymore without barfing. So I'm planning my next trip. Yes this is my justification and I'm sticking to it!
