Available during lunch, Shukuu Izakaya’s Iberico Pork Jowl Chashu Don ($17) was an easy favourite. Slow cooked to succulent, tender slices and topped with an addictive savoury-sweet sauce, the meat was a perfect cut - good ratio of fats in each bite. Each lunch set also comes with a free bowl of salad off their salad bar. And like always be sure to mix in the runny egg hiding at the side with the melty pork as well as the bed of fluffy white Japanese rice. Good value, though the waiting time for the food is a little long and the portions are relatively small.
