Onkei Tonkatsu is known for its wide range of tonkatsu dishes, and with a 1-for-1 Burpple Beyond Set, visiting was a no brainer. Each set ($39.90 for two sets with the deal) came with a generous serving of pork, fish or chicken katsu (we picked pork and chicken), one ebi (prawn) katsu, one Tori Karaage, one Fried Oyster, one bowl of rice and a bowl of soup. 

The stars were undoubtedly the katsu items. Coated with panko crumbs and masterfully deep fried, the 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 and 𝗘𝗯𝗶 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 were stunningly scrumptious. Despite being deep fried, the meats were not dry and retained their natural juices. We polished them off in no time and were left craving for more.
