The ambience of the place was superb: Dimly lit and cosy, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows boasting a superb view of the entire Bugis area.

The food, however, was distinctly less memorable. With a woefully limited menu listing ordinary dishes like kung pao chicken and stir fried beef at exorbitant prices, we could be forgiven for having higher expectations. What we got, however, lacked the sophistication and nuance we were promised. The [Wok-fried Squid], for example, was decent on balance - but it came with a heavy fried batter and the chilli-garlic paste it was fried in was terrifyingly salty.
