Most of La Scala’s pastas are tomato based and has limited options.

Ordered 4 pastas: Spaghetti Costiera (x2), Spaghetti Carbonara and Mezzi Rigatoni Amatriciana.

Spaghetti Costiera (refer to photo) was good. Pasta was al dente and the sauce was tasty and refreshing.

Spaghetti Carbonara tasted funny - not your usual carbonara. Also, the sauce dried up quickly and chunks of the sauce stuck to the pasta. We struggled to finish this.

Mezzi Rigatoni Amatriciana has a tinge of spiciness but quite salty. The rigatoni was al dente.

The service wasn’t great (a lady was quite rude) and the restaurant was understaffed. When we wanted to order desserts, they told us the kitchen has closed and was unable to serve desserts. We were a little surprised that they didn’t check with customers for last orders.

Given the price, food quality, and service, we do not find the deal value for money.
