Waker Chicken now has 5 outlets across the heartlands, serving the authentic Korean fried chicken in four different flavours. We got the half chicken ($14, 7 pieces) in the sweet spicy sauce and wings ($6.50, 3 pieces) in the honey butter coating.

Both were equally delish, freshly prepared upon order and the chicken was juicy inside. The flavours from the sauce and coating add a different dimension, which makes it unique from other fried chickens out there. Between the two, I would prefer the sweet spicy more but would have wished for a spicier flavour profile. Nonetheless, it is still a comfort food that I enjoy a lot and will return in future to try out the other flavours. Plus the fact that it’s not pricey, this is the perfect time to indulge in some Korean fried chicken.
