Is this a hidden gem for lunch at Tanjong Pagar? It's quiet so it's where I can have my Japanese meal in zen mode. The ala carte menu for dinner is more expensive, so I like to drop by for their lunch menu which are mostly below $20.

Thursday's lunch special is this uni ikura don, and both the #uni and #ikura are fresh. As this is a really tiny bowl only slightly larger than a miso soup bowl, my tummy weren't full but satisfied, leaving ample space for dessert. There are other items on their lunch menu such as salmon ikura don and chirashi don at a lower price and a larger normal sized bowl. My friends @nicdragyou and @lainesy_ were happy with their uni ikura and salmon ikura don, and more so that it's a quiet and nicely renovated restaurant.

Can pop by if you work in the area to see if you like their lunch menu. The staff can afford to look less grumpy though, they aren't that busy especially when the restaurant is only half filled.
