The highlight in this obanyaki would be the soft warabimochi, which carries a subtle matcha fragrance and sweetness with a rather melt-in-your mouth texture. I also definitely had fun boomerang-ing that mochi pull while getting judged by others; just things i do for the gram ๐น
Perhaps because i'm not a fan of redbean, so i didn't really fancy the flavours in this, with the generous amount of azuki which came with kernels of beans still intact and the not red bean paste. Some may be pleased to know that they didn't seemed to be sweetened, so this obanyaki would be suitable if you're looking for something thats lower on the sugar level
Despite its green aesthetics, the matcha dough didn't carry much of a matcha fragrance. I did like how it was moist and fluffy with a slight chew to it. It was surprisingly not as dense as i thought it would be!
