Scored this bottled of coffee shochu at the @rositasdeluxe popup last Sundag at @parkbenchdeli. The coffee shochu is derived from a combination of a custom roast from Sumatra by Beyond Coffee Roasters in Kobe, shochu from the Tsubosaka brewery and Japanese rock sugar. Each lot is matured for 45 days and bottled in small batches. As you taste it, you are first hit by rich, strong coffee notes, before the sweet, smooth shochu gets you in aftertaste.
