For a long time I felt this was glorified nasi lemak, meant to scam the unaware. Then I heard how good it was and have been trying to visit. I must say, one, it's indeed excellent. But, two, it showed the limits of hawker food, where no matter how good it is, there's a ceiling. The rice was a fragrance bomb. Then there's the chilli, which was rich and addictive. Then there's the ikan bilis, which was like chips. The chicken's sauce was spiced very well, but the rice was still best eaten with the chilli.
