Conceptualised by Head Chef Takuya Yamashita of One-Michelin starred Whitegrass and executed by one of my go-to tea places Hvala π΅, I was extremely stoked to check out the ππ§ππ£ππ-π ππ₯ππ£ππ¨π π«π·π―π΅ inspired menu at the newly opened @boyutei on Ann Siang Hill.
πππ πππ©π¨πͺ πππ£ππ€ π¦π - Sandos are all the rage these days, and it's no surprise that Boyutei has jumped onto the Sando bandwagon. This deceptively simple looking dish was much better than we'd expected, with every bite of the thick prawn cutlet filled with juicy chunks of π₯π§ππ¬π£, nicely contrasting with fresh (raw) πππππππ drizzled with π¨π¬πππ© ππππ‘π‘π π¨ππͺππ.
πππ©πππ πΎπ§ππ₯π π΅π―π΅ - THE main reason why I visited in the first place! π€ππ As a huge fan of Japanese crepes, how could I miss this chewy rendition of a freshly πππ©πππ πΎπ§ππ₯π accentuated with earthy ππ€π’π π½ππ©π¨ and πππ©πππ πππ πΎπ§πππ’ from Hvala? ππ΅The portion is pretty huge, and good to share for 2 pax!
πΎπ€π§π£ ππ€πͺπ₯ π½ - Sadly, this soup tasted mainly of milk, and we were kinda disappointed that it wasn't bursting with the flavours of corn, nor the satisfying mouthfeel of a good cream soup. It wasn't bad, but wasn't exactly good either.
While the food we tried was mostly delicious, I'm not quite sure if we'd return again since the items weren't exactly mind-blowing for the price tag paid... Nevertheless, definitely recommend swinging by for a try of their signature items at least once! πβ₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
