Whenever I have cravings for char siew rice, this is the place I will head to. How many places nowadays still sell a plate of decent portion charcoal roasted char siew/roasted pork/roasted chicken rice or wanton noodles at $2.50?
It's so popular that everything gets sold out even before 7.30pm in the past, but I am so glad that they extended their business hours.
Among all the 燒臘 they have, I still think that their honey glazed char siew chunks are easily the best. I know charred parts are carcinogenic, but the edges are so beautifully roasted till crispy that once I start I can't stop. Best part, they ain't fatty, but tender and juicy!
