The Daily Cut has developed a bit of a cult status among fitness and clean-eating enthusiasts, who frequent the joint for the protein-rich salads. The proteins here are laudable and generously portioned, of which the salmon (additional $2, goes really well with the ginger ponzu sauce) and rib-eye steak (additional $1) are standouts. We like that there are non-leafy options for the base, including sweet potato, wholewheat pasta and brown rice — perfect on days you're craving something more substantial. The salads are available in four sizes: Petite ($9), Regular ($12), Large ($15) and X-Large ($18); the latter allows you three portions of protein! Either the Petite, which comes with half a portion of protein, or the Regular, which comes with a full portion, should satisfy moderate appetites. There are currently three outlets, the latest being this one at Tanjong Pagar Centre (near the MRT station control). Pro-tip: Queues in the CBD can get crazy at mealtimes, so visit for a late lunch after 1pm, or an early dinner before 7pm.
