This creative egg tart store @mil.eggtart started out as a home business but expanded to a quiet corner in Havelock square (near Chinatown). It specialises in artisan Portuguese egg tarts -- that means imaginative flavours encased in a flaky crust, rather than the crumbly crust that Singaporeans are used to.

I didn't get to try all of these flavours but the ones I tried were sort of one-dimensionally sweet. With all the unique flavours they promised, I thought the tarts could have more depth to them. What came through, though, was the incredibly flaky crust which is what I look out for in an egg tart!
