Fortunately, there is such a place in Singapore for fresh draft, good food and most importantly, damn good music with all the 80s and 90s rock and ballads playing in the background. Despite it being in an ulu location, this is actually a perfect setting for a mini adventure out from the high-rise buildings and shopping malls. You can either sit inside the restaurant or outside alfresco style, which I highly recommend as it was breezy on that night. As the name suggests, this is literally a little island on its own as you can order food such as pizza, burgers that are freshly prepared upon order and what’s their unique selling point is that they brew their own draught from the large tanks inside the restaurant. You get for yourself a pre-paid card from the counter, head over to the various taps and get your own beer, at a cost that’s relative to the type of draught and flavours. In that instance, you can try out a single bit from everything so long your card has sufficient funds in it to go through the various taps. I was surprised to see that there are even cocktails, ranging from $5 per 100ml, to non-alcoholic options such as spritzers and kombucha, all available from taps that you take by yourself. The food that we got, goes perfectly with an IPA, with deep fried goodness such as fish and chips, or freshly out of the oven Hawaiian pizza and cheese nachos.
