Famed for their orh nee tarts, you can expect a variety of taro-related bakes like the Taro Mochi Swiss Roll ($5.50), which contains a chewy mochi filling that adds to the overall bite. What’s good is that the swiss roll is not cloyingly sweet, which will pair well with coffee or tea.

We also tried the Taromisu ($6.50) and Taro Burnt Cheesecake ($8), the former a representation of the tiramisu with layers of cream, taro and sponge while the latter will appeal to the cheese lovers but the taro has been overpowered by the strong flavours of the cheese.
