Customers who order standard fare items (e.g. fried rice, hor fun, muay fun) are expected to respond to the hawker’s ringing bell (typically used by customers to call hawkers from the back of a stall; talk about role reversal) which will be tapped on constantly should a customer be unable to hear it and proceed to the front counter to collect their own order. HORRIBLE service. Even when there are no customers around, the hawker would refuse to leave the front counter to serve food to a customer, unless something substantially expensive has been ordered from their menu.
The taste and quality of their fried rice and hor fun have decreased significantly and taste nothing like when the stall first started. A recent order of their Salted Egg Pork Ribs turned out to be slices of ammonia-tasting meat covered with sticky yellow goo.
Never going to patronise this stall again.
