These are two of my favourite items to have here. Surprisingly, they’re 100% vegetarian but I hardly notice that because both of them are highly pronounced in flavour and texture.
Deliciously addictive, the “Furikake Cauliflower” has large florets of the vegetables coated in tempura batter. That thin layer of crunchiness keeps everything within nice and juicy, while the copious amount of ”furikake” (the dry Japanese seasoning of mixed ingredients) loads up on the savoury spark. I have to admit, it’s hard to share when something tastes this good.
The “Vegetarian Rice Bowl” comes filled with assorted vegetables such as a big chunk of braised daikon and crisp French beans amongst others, as well as stewed mushrooms and silky tofu. Not that it is visible in my photo but even the rice at the bottom of the bowl is made tastier by a light sweetish sauce. So if you happen to be in the mood for something hearty and healthy yet not plain tasting, this would be a good choice.
