From the new outlet of Coffee Break at Savourworld, a short walk away from Kent Ridge MRT Station. It's quite hard to find interesting renditions of the local Kaya Toast so it's definitely interesting to find other variations such as the Black Sesame and this Taro Creme Toast here. They use wholemeal bread here, which is all sliced pretty thinly which gives it a good crisp while spread with taro cream and butter within — the taro cream has a texture like a smooth and rich whipping cream while carries a light sweetness; would have preferred an emphasis on earthy flavours of taro instead. Still, I would probably be back another day to try their Black Sesame and the original Kaya Toast along with their Kopi since it's pretty close to school anyway.
