Decided to give this store a try after reading reviews about it online and is relatively close to Amoy Street Food Centre.
So, I went with their signature which would be Mrs. Park ($8). The stall's description of it would be 'seasoned bulgogi beef, pickled jalapenos, caramelised onions'.
Mrs Park ($8)
So the first thing you'll notice is that it is loaded with shredded purple & white cabbage, lettuce, and tomato. Biting into it, I got a mouthful of really juicy tomatoes, the other fresh vegetables, warm fluffy bread that was toasted to give the exterior a firm slightly crunchy texture but unfortunately, no beef. Upon my second bite though, I got a taste of the well marinated strips of beef (Korean-style) which was very juicy and provided a meaty and saltish contrast in flavour. While I doubt I will be paying $8 for this dish anytime soon, I must admit that it is quite filling and the dough was above average. Crisp and warm on the outside while being thick and fluffy on the inside, it served as a perfect 'pocket' to collect all the meat juices from the beef, making that last bite an intensification of all the flavours amalgamated together. I personally liked that mine came with a crispy edge at the end as well, which was something like a breadstick.
