Accidentally found this. Small and cozy Ramen shop with polite service staff..Took the Signature Ramen and soft shell crab. Quite tasty, though I've eaten better soft shell crab in Vietnamese restaurants. Good for a quick lunch especially when it's hot outside.

6 粒饺子对于不想吃太多的女士,刚刚好!富含胶原蛋白的骨汤汤浓郁,饺子皮薄馅多。

En Ramen has recently opened at near Sunset Way. Upon reading their Google reviews, realised that there were rather popular at their previous location at Toh Guan.

The shop has a rather bright and homely feel.

The Signature Ramen is the spicy version of its original Ramen, with additional stir fried minced pork with chilli paste. Mix together with its tonkotsu broth, the entire dish was certainly 1 level above the original Ramen.

Value for money too. Signature Ramen for $8.50, in a restaurant setting as well.

Can top up another $1.50 to complete your set with 3 pieces of chicken Karage.

Sunset way has definitely upgraded itself, back in the early nineties, it had many provision shops and wet markets. When it first started to revamp itself in the early 2000s, crowds were still not being drawn in. So glad that sunset way has turned itself around and become quite a hipster hang out area.

There is now a mix of modern hipsters shops, as well as those old school shops that have lasted since the 90s, like my favourite Balmoral Bakery nearby, and Chin Huat Live Seafood Place.

The Original Ramen was non spicy, but the broth was rather flavourful. Ramen tasted quite good as well.

This place is a hidden gem 💎!

Ordered the En Signature Kara Miso Ramen ($6) & Bonito Chashu Ramen ($4) with additional egg ($0.50).

The Bonito Chashu Ramen came with noodles, Chashu, black fungus and spring onion. It was light on the palate and refreshing, but the Bonito taste was on-point; honestly worth every bit of that price. The texture of the noodles was fantastic as well. Added on an egg at $0.50 and it was wonderful as well.

For the Signature Kara Miso Ramen, the spiciness was a bit overpowering and I couldn’t taste the Miso much until I savoured the soup slowly in my mouth for a while. It wasn’t exactly spicy over the top though. Soup was nonetheless flavourful, and the ingredients (noodles, egg, minced meat, Chashu, black fungus and spring onions) are just 💯 altogether.

This is probably my to-go ramen place in future especially for that price point!

Westies, look out for this hawker ramen joint on Toh Guan Road. Be sure to try their Bonito Chasiew Ramen ($4.50) that sees two big pieces of cha siew stewing in an umami-licious yet clean-tasting and light broth. Also good is the En Signature Kara Miso Ramen ($6) that's generous in portion and rich in flavour. Complete the meal with an egg add-on for fifty cents.
