OG Strawberry Shortcake Can ($11.80) is the one I like. Layers of fluffy chiffon cake with whipped cream, it is layered with sliced strawberries and puree from Hokkaido.

Along with the range of Fuwa Cans (from $8.80), there’s 3 SG Exclusive ones - Matcha, Mango & Orange and Tiramisu. Light and fluffy, these Fuwa Can is filled with layers of cream, fruit jelly, fruit puree and fruit jam.

😱 @udonkamonsg located at Eat@Seven (Suntec) does them all naturally colored with matcha and chilli. We like their cold udon with beef shabu shabu imported from Australia. The dish has a slight tinge of sweetness from the chilled dashi sauce.

Lovers of Japanese food, here’s the best of both worlds!

Unagi Ichinoji Dining has come up with their new menu mainstay and it’s an amazing combination of unagi and kaisen don, but in the form of hitsumabushi!

Hitsumabushi is a style of eating, whereby there are three ways of experiencing the dish! First, you divide the bowl into 4 portions.

The first portion is to enjoy it as it is, where you savour the grilled unagi and fresh sashimi on its own.

To the second portion, add in nori (seaweed), wasabi and chopped green onions to enhance the flavour.

To the next portion, add in clear dashi broth to your rice, kinda like porridge before enjoying it!

And for the last, see which you preferred and have it in that manner!

Udon Kamon @udonkamonsg is a NEW Udon Restaurant, offering the widest range of broths in Singapore.
These include Kyoto-style dashi soup broths, tonkotsu soup broths, a spicy Tom Yam soup broth, and an equally intense spicy Magma broth.
Check out Prawn Tonkotsu Udon,
creamy and flavoursome added with Sakura Ebi.

The quality of sashimi such as maguro, salmon, swordfish and yellowtail can rival some of those served in the best restaurants in Japan.

Plus, you can top up $8 to get a healthy Miyazaki set.... Coming up in the next post
