Preferred the tortellini bowl as it had more tender meat, but similarly, we weren’t a big fan of the slightly doughy taste the noodles added into the broth. Would have liked slightly firmer noodles to go along!

A pretty comforting bowl, but I wasn’t a big fan of the slightly doughy taste the noodles added into the broth. They make their chicken broth from scratch and we enjoyed that hint of floral touch from osmanthus flowers. The generously stuffed handmade tortellini was stuffed with tender minced chicken and a whole prawn.

The noodles are buckwheat noodles and soup is not too salty. Making this feel like a healthy option. However the only difference would be the meat, one is a prawn dumpling and another is a sous vide chicken roll. Not great but edible.

I enjoyed the tortellini noodle although the broth tasted a little artificial with MSG. overall, food tasted pretty good.

However, there were one downside. on the way to washroom, we saw how the kitchen actually segregated a portion of beef in every plastic container in the open air without covers on it. Gotta be more hygienic! never know what could have landed in it....

Tasty noodles, tasty soup.
Soup is abit of the sweeter side. But I managed to finished every drop of the soup in the bowl.

Taste: 9/10
Price: 8.5/10 ( with burpple is damn worth it )
Beer tower there is pretty reasonable too!
Ambience: 8.5/10
Service: 9/10

Overall highly recommended, although the place is abit off. But it’s walking distance from city Sq mall.

The star of this dish, is definitely the beef. Said to be stewed for 3 hours, the beef chunks in this dish is not only tender, but flavourful. I felt that the beef pieces have a good mix of soft (tendony) parts and meat parts, giving them a really nice texture. The broth complemented the noodles and beef well, though it is slightly on the sweeter side (presumably from the mirin). I think it can get abit too sweet at the end for those who prefers their broth to be on the savoury side. But overall, a really good comforting dish. I would eat it again for the beef chunks.

I also tried two other chicken side dishes, chicken roulade and the smoked spring chicken. The first thing you would notice, is how tender the chicken is. Both dishes were also well marinated. The only downside, is that I find it a little expensive to pay $9.80 for two pieces of chicken roulade. Price aside, the dish is great. So I would say for those who have burpple, it will be more worthwhile!
