Duke Bakery (313@Somerset)

This bread was slightly softer than their usual chewy breads. The orange sweet potatoes were very naturally sweet, it’s a smooth purée and v creamy, with some smol cubes that were also v soft. P substantial, it’s carbs on carbs 😛 I liked it and would repurchase!

It’s chewy as with most of their breads, with juicy raisins, cranberries, and blueberries which were q tart. No discernible red wine flavour tho. But there’s a strong blackcurrant juice taste, which I think they soaked the bluebs in. Idm this, but it’s not particularly outstanding.

as usual, excellent bread quality! outer layer was fragrant, with a light choco taste when eaten alone. the inner layer was more of like a soaked bread/cake kind of texture. cheese was light and a great match to these flavours! would prefer if there’s a stronger coffee taste since it’s called tiramisu. 🥳

super hefty huge bun probably meant to be split among four people and rightfully so because it’s like $7 or something… found it to be a bit too sweet, and the matcha taste was unnoticeable but overall still quite an enjoyable bread with the right chewiness and dense ness, and packed with seeds and dried fruits.

one of my favourite picks at duke bakery is their matcha red bean (w mochi) loaf (~$5) which comes with the stretchiest and chewiest mochis in them 🥰🥰
