So I do get some of my malay friends complaining how itβs so hard to find a good dim sum place around. And I think Dolly Dim Sum has made dreams come true. They almost taste like it has pork (except itβs chicken *excuse me*). And love love love the Golden Fried Rice. Topped with fish roe and a generous amount of fresh prawns itβs the perfect fried rice ever. Period. Love how itβs really egg-y and not drenched in oil although you do need to fork out a bit for a plate of fried rice but itβs worth every penny. Take a shot at their Egg Custard Bun (With Salted Egg Yolk fillings) which has a good ratio of pau to Egg Yolk sauce hahahah and their crispy Yam Croquette!
P.S: Visited their Avenue K outlet a couple of times, and I must say the interior is super pretty and they have the perfect natural lighting! β€οΈ

The Har Gow was delicate and fine with fresh prawns. The salted fish bun was nicely pan fried and tasty. The Siew Mai was ok but the weakest of the 3. In all, pretty good but pricey dim sum. #burpple
For those working near Avenue K, halal dim sum specialist Dolly Dim Sum offers a letup from the usual lunch options. Take your business lunch down here for good nosh amidst stylish surroundings β the quaint bird cage-chandeliers and checkered glass panels are to thank for the restaurant's Instagram fame. Buns are done right, so be sure to share the Egg Custard Bun (RM7) or the Roasted BBQ Bun (RM8) with scrumptious chicken char siew filling β it comes very close to the real thing. Ordering siew mai goes without saying and their version of 'Siew Mai' Dumpling (RM8.80) is impressive, bouncing with tender chicken and prawns. Follow with a Glutinous Rice Parcel 'Loh Mai Gai' (RM8.50) that improves on the common recipe with a grand addition of abalone. Pro tip: The highly sought-after locale swarms with diners at lunch hour so call ahead for a table. However, they do not take reservations on Fridays so show up early instead.

Compare to other dim sum place, this one is quite overprice. However, halal dim sum had attract a lot of people to visit them during office break. They always pack around 1-2pm. Make sure you call for a reserve if you decide to visit them around that time. Food quality is great, friendly staff, just sometimes due to too much of customers, you have to wait to be served. Love their Lou Sha Bao and Cha Siu Bao(halal).
