It’s essentially a tomato cream-based dish 🍅 with sotong 🦑, mussels and prawns 🦐. The dish is then generously topped off with a layer of cheese 🧀 and the icing of the cake would be the ebiko! 💯 Heavier than your usual pasta due to the dense texture of the tomato cream with the addition of cheese, you may want to share this with a friend! 👯♀️ However if you love your thick cream sauces, you would certainly be able to finish this flavourful dish! ✌🏼

The Husband and I got the usual Cha Ppong level 2 of spiciness and a Ro Ppong-Roje which was tomato cream based with mussels, pieces of sotong and a prawn, topped with ebiko and cheese. The former had a char taste we really liked, also served generously with the same ingredients and quail eggs. The latter is recommended to be shared. It was heavier due to the cream and gets pretty jelat after awhile.
Overall food experience: 3.5/5
Location: 5/5
Ambience: 3/5
We had 3 different dishes, which were all good:
Cha Ppong ($15.80) - the classic Jjamppong noodles, filled with cabbage, mussels, squid, prawn, and quail eggs. You can choose your spicy level for this one, so we chose level 2 and it really packed a strong spicy kick!
Keu Ppong-Cream ($17.80)
This cream sauced Jjamppong reminded us of carbonara, but the Korean ppong noodles are much chewier and very bouncy, rather than al dente.
Ro Ppong-Roje ($17.80)
This might have been my favourite! Topped with mozzarella that quickly melted into the tomato base, the sauce became thick and really flavourful, coating the noodles with every bite.
All in all, the ppong noodles were lovely to chew as the texture was really good, and the richness of the different sauces we ordered left us very satisfied.

Expanded menu by @nipongnaepongsg now presents 2 new ppongs and a selection of 4 risottos! How does a tom yum or a curry ppong sound? Or get adventurous with their soft shell crab She’s risotto, spicy keu risotto, pork “Po-Tae-To” risotto and Soi Chicken risotto! •
I have always enjoyed their ppongs for the chewy jjolmyeon (wheat noodles) that are made in Korea exclusively. Tried both new ppongs, both the bf and I clearly gave our votes to this curry ppong! A rich Thai-inspired yellow curry cream sauce base, dunked with chicken chunks and spinach leaves. Not too sure why it’s described as Thai-inspired, but the sweetness and mild spiciness left an impression of a Japanese curry instead. Like its top seller Ro Ppong-Roje, shredded mozzarella cheese spammed on top intensified the richness without stealing the limelight of the main curry flavour. Toss and slurp the noodles as they get coated thickly for a hearty experience. What’s more, there’s flying fish roe and fried shallots, oomph! •
Nipong Naepong is one of the few places that I would like to have my noodles in a cream base. Confidence in their food gives me a reason to return for their risottos!

Round up the fam for a meal at this fusion Jjamppong (Korean spicy seafood noodles) restaurant. From the cheesy tomato and cream-based Ro Ppong-Roje ($17.80) for the kids (opt for non-spicy level), to the spicy and flavourful Il-Ppong ($15.80) for heat lovers, there's something for everyone. End your meal with the Ni Pizza ($16.80), which sees sweet potato puree baked on a tortilla base, served with fluffy whipped cream.

Seemingly very cheesy, but the blend of the cheese and chili goes well! A tad too spicy for people who can’t handle spicy stuff very well, but the sauce was still really addictive...
The Ro Ppong-roje ($17.80) comes with tomato and cream sauce, ebiko and cheese. So rich but so good but might be better if you share it hehe. The Il-Ppong ($15.80) is Japanese style jjamppong (or champon) that comes with slightly spicy broth which is very flavourful.
craving for tasty and fulfilling carbs? try these Ppongs at Nipong Naepong! the korean noodles look like spaghetti pasta but the texture of these noodles are surprisingly QQ & chewy instead! ordered the seafood with mozzarella cheese and vongole version of the Ppongs and both tasted really good! 😋 will definitely be back for more!
