Hazelnut Mille Crepe (S$5.50)
Available at @HasuConfections in @POMOSG
Yesterday was the last day of the promotion for Mille Crepe at S$3 per piece.
The crepes were thin and sliced through easily. Nutty and creamy although I would prefer a richer filling.

Here's an alternative to jostling with the crowds in Orchard for Lady M's signature mille crepe cakes. Located in PoMo, Hasu serves up quite a tasty rendition of Mille Crepe Cakes ($5/slice) which come in three flavours β Original (vanilla), Green Tea and Hazelnut. With hazelnut crumbs nestled between every tightly packed layer, the latter is one of the cafe's best sellers, although Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua wishes the hazelnut flavour can be even more pronounced. While you're here, check out their other bakes, which include eclairs and sponge cakes. Pro tip: Today (10 Nov) is the last day to enjoy a slice of their mille crepe cake at only $3! Like their Facebook page Hasu Confections, share the post with this special deal and show it to the cashier upon order. It's limited to 200 customers daily, so act fast!
Avg Price: $5 per person

But got mine at $3 (on offer now till Nov 10)! π
Was pretty good actually! Light, soft and smooth, the crepe cake was well balanced between the matcha and sweetness. π°The only thing that was a slight letdown was the cream didn't have that fragrant creamy aroma which made the whole thing seem kinda one dimensional. But still a value for money buy!
They have original Mille crepe, hazelnut and green tea! Knowing how these things can be a pain to make, this was pretty good! Not overly sweet and the green tea was green teaish enough! π΄
It's $3 until 10/11! So hurry up go get it now! π΄

From Hasu Confections at PoMo. The Mille Crepe here is actually pretty good considering how tightly packed each layer is to each other. Dusted in icing sugar, the Mille Crepe wasn't overpoweringly sweet but it does seem to lack hazelnut flavour overall despite being infused into the pastry cream. There is also an original flavour which features vanilla, which I guess should be pretty decent since this variant only felt like it was missing of the hazelnut overall. (PS: They also have this sharing portion which comes slightly short of double the price of the sliced version β coming in a personal-sized full cake, it does seem to work as a smart option for a small birthday party gathering of four to share.)
