This has to be one of the best salmon we have eaten lately. The dish also comes with mashed potatoes, assorted vegetables and tuna capers cream sauce. Healthy yet delicious!๐
This Bedok Point joint is easily the best place to accommodate a group of friends with varying food preferences. 5 Senses dishes out hearty Western plates that are bound to satisfy, well, all five senses. Salmon lovers, do not be distracted by the rest of the offerings and go straight for the Pan Seared Norwegian Salmon ($14.90). Burppler Jayson Yeo describes it as "a plate of salmon cooked perfectly with the flesh still juicy and moist and the skin seared so crispy". The pastas are pretty good too. What the unassuming Carbonara ($8.90) lacks in colour, it makes up in flavour. What's not to like about perfectly al dente spaghetti served with bacon and a wobbly onsen egg in the centre!
Avg Price: $15 per person

Sous vide and then grilled, the steak from 5 Senses looked promising. Sadly, it was quite tough and chewy which was a bit of a let down after all the hits here (still tasted good though but you'll get a good jaw workout). ๐
I guess it can't be helped at the price you're paying but there's many other awesome things to order here (their carbonara, anything with salmon, the CUSTARD APPLE ๐ ๐) so don't worry about it. ๐
Newly opened on the second floor of Bedok Point, 5 Senses serves up wallet-friendly western dishes making it a great place for a small family dinner or gathering with friends. ๐ด
The salmon was one of my favourite dishes we had. Delightfully soft and moist yet it came with crackling fish skin! Most places fudge this up but 5 Senses manages to deliver a spot-on salmon. ๐ I do wish they'd serve it with without the peas, corn and carrots that looks like it comes from a frozen package but that's a small complaint for a salmon dish at this price.
Pan-Seared Norwegian Salmon ($14.90)
I am extremely particular about my salmon ๐since most places tend to overcook it. After traveling a long way to Bedok, I was pleasantly greeted by this plate of salmon cooked perfectly ๐๐ผwith the flesh still juicy and moist and the skin seared so crispy I wished there was more! The tomato coulis served with the salmon was imo not really necessary though.
Overall, @5senses_sg serves really decent dishes at very affordable prices though for people with bigger appetites, you may want to order an extra main for sharing!
The furikake was mixed with a thick, creamily sweet mayo and the wobbly-soft 62ยฐC egg was a natural eggporn starlet, whilst elsewhere the perfectly almost-cooked teriyaki salmon, which could be consumed on its own and still justify the price of admission, straddled the thin line between solid and liquid with startling showmanship. 4/5
Who says you can't get the freshest of ingredient at a very affordable price. There is a world of different when u taste a salmon that is fresh and will literally melts in your mouth #nofrozen. Why wait and come down now to 5 Senses Restaurant at Bedok point for more fresh ingredients. #healthyfood #salmon #burpplecheapngood #burpple #sgrestaurant #sgcafes #foodie #instafood
Glazed Teriyaki Salmon ($14.90+)
Wonderfully cooked salmon, moist & tender to the fork. However, paired with the rice it was quite strange. The rice was super bland, made me not want to eat the salmon with it.
Maybe the sauce wasn't enough? Even the onsen egg couldn't save it. I don't quite know how to explain this.
