Chix Lollypop

$14.00 · 1 Review

Tucked away in Upper Thomson (look out for the red, container-like unit on the row of shophouses along Thong Soon Road), this café sports a trendy but comfy setting — industrial chic with cement walls, exposed pipes, and well-spaced tables. If it's hot outside, cool down with their signature WORD. Concoction ($7), a refreshing soda infused with tangy additions like sour plum and lemon, as you chuckle your way through their cheekily written menu — Cut the Crab or Mother Cluckers, anybody? Ask the friendly staff what to eat and they're likely to recommend their signature Cow-ch Potato ($24), which sees a perfectly cooked and seasoned piece of steak served on a bed of creamy potato mash. You should also get the Magic Mushrooms ($10), which are lightly battered, fried till golden and pop-in-the-mouth juicy, as well as the Chix Lollypop ($14) — WORD's take on the popular Indian-Chinese appetiser slicked in a very tasty black pepper sauce.
