Simple but decent rendition especially considering the price point. Iced white (from Dutch colony) was not bad as well.

Chilli Crab Pasta ($14.90)

Penne coated with thick homemade crab bisque served with crab meat, cherry tomatoes and tobiko. This pasta surprisingly packed a decent amount of heat. There were also a few pieces of croutons (probably to mimic fried mantou?) which was an interesting first for me. The penne did a good job of filling itself full of that crab gravy. At this price-point, this would be one of my must-order recommendations!
We were warned that this was a love-it-or-hate-it kind of dish — I suppose if you only read the menu and expect to savour a crab bisque based dish, then you'll probably be disappointed.
Thankfully, when we were placing our order, the very friendly staff clarified that the penne will come with something more akin to a spicy chilli crab sauce. While we felt that it wasn't as spicy as described, don't get this unless you're a fan of sweet, tomatoey sauces.
Some may find it spicy while other may find it salty. I think it's just right 😜

Crab Pasta ($12.90 nett)
The sauce is essentially really delicious chilli crab sauce, but not so thick. Just the right consistency for a pasta sauce. Yes, it is a little spicy, great kick 🌶
Penne was not overcooked, which pleases me. 👍 The roe didn't do much for me; with or without, I'd be happy.
Tempted by @burpple's snapchat last night at the new kid in the Aljunied neighbourhood. Bad lighting and bad phone camera are doing this pasta injustice. I was surprised by the pasta well done, exceeding my expectation. It was a really generous portion of crab meat (all hidden underneath those penne) and the crab bisque was thick and strong enough to my liking. The place is also very cosy with free wifi (another reason to stay here longer 🙈). This is a promising one I would say!
