JB San Luo Mee Hoon

I love the pork slices, the crispiness is just right. Bee hoon was great too! 青龙菜 and white pepper crab are both at the super savory side (taste more overpowering)

If you come here, you GOT to have the San Lou Beehoon ($11 for Medium) - it might look simple but it packs in soooo much flavour. As for sides, we decided to get the Di San Xian (Eggplant, potatoes, and red/green peppers, $12 for Small) and the Fried Garlic Chilli Clams ($16 for Small). Both were delicious as well, especially the garlic Chilli sauce of the Lala. The eggplant in the Di San Xian came deep fried, which was kínda unique but added texture to the dish. Still, preferred the Dragon Vege we had the previous time we came over the Di San Xian!

Bee hoon stir-fried with dried shrimps, squid, prawns and soy sauce is fried like a pancake until crisp on the sides. This dish has lots of smoky wok hei and flavour. It is crispy on the outside yet moist inside. The crunchiness also leaves a satisfying flavour in the mouth 》$11/medium

I ordered JB San Lou Mee Hoon (medium for 2 person🤣).
I feel the standard drop, I went twice (both around 9pm), the beehoon still crisp on top, but bottom now slightly wet. The beehoon springy and got wok hei.
💰$11 (medium).

Last meal at JB Ah Meng was more than a year back. So glad we decided to grab dinner here yesterday! It wasn’t difficult to decide on what to order cause we just went with our 2 staples, this bee hoon and the Fried Garlic Chilli Lala ($16 for S). Love how JB Ah Meng don’t overly fry the bee hoon but leaves it with just a slight crisp top. Distinct wok hei and you get lots of flavour from the bits of egg and strips of cuttlefish.

Crispy on the outside yet moist to the bite, this is a popular dish that almost every table will order. Enjoy the smoky goodness in every bite!

Another must-try dish is their Salted Egg Prawn Roll! Coated beautifully with crisp salted egg yolk batter & corn kernels, their juicy prawns are completely deshelled, perfect for lazy people, myself included.

A dish with lots of wok hei. Tasty bee hoon fried till crisp on the outside, still retaining the Q-ness on the inside. The bee hoon is also accompanied slices of meat and egg for the extra fragrant. A must try at the shop

This is quite good. But not the best I tasted.

Abit soggy. But tasted good

Basically vermicelli stir fried until it has a crispy layer. Look at that texture! Though it looks kinda plain and non-photogenic, it was packed with flavour. I think it was cooked with some seafood stock/gravy, that was the flavour I picked up. They also had other excellent dishes, though make sure to make reservations, the queue could get unbearably long!
