Had the same name of chicken chop in Tai Chung, Taiwan few years ago and wondering if they are the same. Chicken chop was chunky, meaty and yet juicy! Love it. But... It was more ex than the other brand.
Now this might be expensive, selling at $7.80 a piece, but it's really good if you love your chicken abit on the sweeter side. The chicken is tender and well marinated and coating has a good crunch. The flavour profile is more of a sweet-savoury kind; extremely satisfying!
Down with a cough but insisted on having this nonetheless cause I'm rarely near this hood. Came near their closing time and I'm glad there was no queue and yet, the chicken was served piping hot, seemingly fry on order. One bite in and I knew what the hype was about. Thicc, juicy and absolutely succulent, the chicken was well seasoned and battered, with the flavours soaked deep into the meat instead of stopping at just the skin only. This is mighty sinful too, judging by the amount of grease on the paper but dang was it worth it.
Stringy, crispy, fresh, steaming hot chicken slab — this was fatty and sinful, but so good. It’s almost boneless until the end of the cutlet. Spice was alright for me! Good as a meal on it’s own 🙂 I don’t think I’d repurchase due to the hefty price tag ($8?) though.
Hailing from Taiwan, Devil Chicken’s XXL fried chicken can now be found in my hoooood! (For Westies, they’re gonna open soon in Jcube too!) Wee bit expensive but definitely one of the best around so far. The chicken was so thick and very juicy! Sweet-savoury, the batter was crispy. My only gripe is possibly the inconsistency of it but that’s just nitpicking.
Had it too many times in a week and I think the spicy one might be nicer. But I’ll have to try again to determine 😂
Visit Century Square for this long-awaited Taiwanese chicken cutlet joint. There might be a queue, so be prepared for the wait – come early as these deep-fried babies sell out fast! Think 330g of juicy chicken breast coated in delectably crispy crust. Choose between the foolproof Original Fried Chicken ($7.90) and the Spicy Fried Chicken ($7.90) that carries a subtle hint of sweetness.
