Reviews of good food at Creamier (Gillman Barracks)
This is our favourite ice cream place, for the ambience, crispy waffles and ice cream flavours.

This time we had waffles with Horlicks Chocolate Chip and Hokey Pokey, which was vanilla with honeycomb chunks ($13). Hokey pokey was surprisingly not too sweet and cloying, and I liked the chunks of honeycomb in it. Horlicks chocolate chip was quite sweet, but reminded me of my younger days where I would drink holicks with condensed milk πŸ˜„.

Yes Yes And Yes

The only thing is you'll have to wait, be it for a seat or your ice-cream waffle. And that's nothing upon its arrival because Creamier does ice cream and waffles so damn good! Fluffy warm and soft inside, a lil crispy outside. Yknow??? Yes yes yes

Tauyew Tempeh chocolate
Nestled between the rich and sweet dark chocolate, you can find the faint familiar taste of dark soya sauce.

It's not a far stretch for most as the chocolate is the main stay here. Great waffle as usual.
Monster likes how we're trying to incorporate local flavors into ice cream. Yums!

Chocolate Tau Yeu Tempeh Crunch

Finally getting my grubby hands on Chef Willin Low's creation for Creamier's 5th Anniversary after a failed attempt of trying to get it at the Toa Payoh branch a day before. What actually made me so intrigued in this flavour was the use of the aged soy sauce which blew my mind during the Omakase Lunch I had a while back at Wild Rocket for the fried oyster dish.

Essentially a chocolate-based ice-cream flavour, the rich, chocolatey flavours worked out well here especially with the mellow yet evident flavours of the aged soy sauce in between bites β€” a soothing combination of sweet and savoury that wasn't in-your-face stark but slowly grows with every bite. Not sure if it was intended to be this way or was it due to it being chilled within the ice-cream, but the Tempeh crunch was more of a nutty texture than crisp. Still, a pretty good flavour that is worth a try while it is available!

Waffles With Sea Salt Gula Melaka Ice Cream (SGD $9) @ Creamier.

The waffles here are pretty good. Slightly crisp outside, fluffy soft inside, airy yet with good flavour.

The signature ice cream is made with hand harvested sea salt from England, and pure palm sugar, having a nice balance of salty sweet. Shiok!

Kaya Toast

An ode to the local favourite breakfast of Kaya Toast β€” pretty much like the real deal where you get an evident coconut-y, Pandan flavour amidst the creamy, smooth ice-cream with chunks replicating bread in terms of texture.

Ice-cream & Waffle!

The waffles here - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - totally my cup of tea ;D Interesting flavours of icecream that's really milky and not too sweet - Thai Milk Tea and Pistachio! Heard that it's abit pricier here than at Toa Payoh but not too sure. Will definitely visit again! ;p

Ice cream & Waffles

Creamier at Gillman Barracks, more spacious though less accessible. No longer will you have to squeeze into the small space at Toa Payoh Branch and feel stress while eating and others standing.

Ice cream & Waffles ($9, $3 for additional scoop of ice cream), is always the basic item to get. Pistachio and Earl Grey Lavender are two flavours that will not go wrong when pair with waffles. Sadly, their waffles were under cooked that day and ice cream melt too fast.

Honey Yuzu Lemon with Waffles all for myself!

Wanted to try the Thai Milktea flavour but hearsay honey lemon alleviates sore throats. And yes, the tangy sorbet did do its job in soothing my throat! The highly-raved waffles lived up to its reputation of being crispy-on-the-outside-fluffy-on-the-inside, but I guess sorbets dont go as well with waffles as icecreams do.

Double Waffles

Still the best pistachio icecream and waffles in town. Love the vibes in this outlet

Kaya Toast

My favourite PBJ wasn't available, so I went for the local-inspired Kaya Toast that seriously tasted like the real deal.

Rest days = dessert and carb-up days.

Thankful to have a partner who always makes sure I rest and eat my desserts πŸ˜‚, because balance is key to life.
Black forest ice cream and pomegranate yogurt ice cream on the best waffles ever.

The light waffle & roasted pistachio icecream never fails πŸ‘πŸ»

Also v happy that creamier decided to open a second (slightly more accessible) outlet!

Kaya & Matcha, Earl Grey Lavender Ice Cream Waffles

Unique ice cream and the waffles are divine!! Earl grey lavender was goood. Crispy outside and soft in the inside. Good service! They served me wrong scoop of ice cream and gave me one as complimentary! Ended up having 3 scoops πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so satisfied!!
