The flavours here are uniquely interesting and change seasonally. The Pear Mascarpone Honey gelato had a subtle delicate pear fragrance at the first taste, followed by a distinct sweetness from the honey. The 80% Dark Chocolate French Rose was intense with floral notes of the rose. It was a nice balance of bitter and sweet.

I've got to say that Cotta's waffle is the lightest, most airy and crispiest one I've had to date. It is different from others where they have a crispy exterior and fuffy and slightly chewy inside. I could hear the crunch of the waffle.

so we stumbled upon this unassuming-looking cafeā€¦ and ended up realising that it made the BEST PISTACHIO GELATO. i donā€™t even remember what the other flavour we got was because the pistachio gelato was just life-changing šŸ˜ it was so light, sweet, milky, and the pistachio flavour & fragrance hits you shortly after you put it in your mouthā€¦ i felt like i could eat this forever. the pistachio gelato itself is a solid 10/10 for me

Both were quite smooth and creamy, but I like the slightlyyy lighter mouthfeel plus lower sweetness in gelatiamoā€™s gelatos, itā€™s more refreshing. After this I wanted to drink water.

In terms of flavour both were pretty nutty and distinct, hazelnut melted a lot faster tho. My friend and I both preferred the flavour profile of the pistachio over the hazelnut! Not bad, I wouldnā€™t mind trying their other flavours.

With a more distinctive roasted black sesame flavour, the Matcha Goma Cookie Sandwich was pretty fun to snack on. A little messy but the sandwich held up nicely. Slightly crumbly, the cookies (like a matcha sable) had hints of savouriness and a subtle bitterness which matched well with the tea-flavoured ice cream layers. Grassy and earthy, the ice creams were great individually too. However, I liked it more when the ice cream melted a little so they would kinda mix and blend in every bite.

Better than I remembered, COTTAā€™s Waffles ($7) was truly light and airy. Fluffy in the center and uber crispy on the outside. And so to pair with the fragrant squares, I got the Sicilian Pistachio and mystery flavour of the day, Peanut Butter with Banana Cake ($9/ double scoop, +$1 for premium flavours). Love the hints of cinnamon from the chunks of cake embedded in the scoop and the pleasant peanut flavour (rather natural tasting with not so much of the butter) - not overly cloying or rich. Equally nutty and smooth, the classic Pistachio was enjoyable and nicely balanced but a tad milky.
