We were on our trip to Ghibli Museum at Mitaka. We stopped at Kichijoji to sightsee abit before walking through the scenic Inokashira-Gyoen to the museum. Our lunch was a warming Sanuki Udon from Udon Hanamura.
Although it was a no-frill chain Udon restaurant, it was nonetheless delicious and satisfying. You get to choose from an array of Oden (Or I would call Japanese Yong Tau Foo) and agemono (deep-fried food) to go along with your Udon. If you're on a budget trip to Japan, put Udon Hanamura on your list.
