The reliable fried chicken gets instant invigoration from the sriracha-spiked creamy mayo, which gently needles your tongue like a flirtatious acupuncturist. 3.7/5

Providing a safe alcoholic shelter for stressed out professionals in the CBD is Copper on Stanley, a sake bar which offers an extensive range of sakes by the bottle or glass (with the latter priced from just $7!) as well as a small selection of cocktails. Share some bar grub to go with your tipple, like the Korean Fried Chicken Wings ($7) or the Duck Rillettes and Granny Smith Crostinis ($7). Alternatively, go for the Gyu Don ($11) for something more substantial. From the cocktail menu, you should try the Pear Cocktail (sake, pear eau de vie, elderflower, pomegranate), which marries the concepts of sake and cocktail to perfection. This affordable, tasty little sake bar (no GST, no service charge!) might just be your next happy place. See you there?

Glazed and honey-sweet with a touch of that ubiquitous Korean spice, this was essentially Korean fried chicken as conceptualised and prepared by a Bedok 85 Fengshan Market BBQ chicken wing stall uncle. 3.8/5

On offer is an extensive range of interesting fruit-tinged sakes priced between $7-$10 per glass, as well as surprisingly decent Asian-style bar grub.

Two guys, four plates, a glass of sake and a cocktail = $60 ONLY. No GST and service charge (!!). Virtually nightlight robbery! Will definitely be back to try every single sake.
