Considering how flavour packed the rest were, it's quite surprising how mild this was. The sauce was sweet and not v spicy at all
This was very good. It's not molten inside as they say but the marinade was very strong and it's got an intense umami, much much better than most marinated eggs in terms of flavour
Lovely
Also their kimchi is 50% off rn. It's got a sharp fermented taste from some kind of fish sauce? Still ex at 7.5+ for one jar but honestly it's better than full price
260g
The beef slices are stuck tgt but the portion is really quite generous. Moreover, beef was well seasoned and reasonably tender, making this a rather good bulgogi overall
The Korean multi grain rice 1.5++ is pretty good, it's quite soft. Take note this doesn't automatically come w rice
The matcha ice cream served at the end of the meal was delightful, especially when served in an icy cold frosty bowl.
Saboten Twin Special Set ($52) offers great value for two people who want to try a variety! The platter consists of a piece of Pork Loin (M)(100g) Katsu, 2 pieces of Fried Shrimp, 2 pieces of Crab Cream Croquette, 1 piece of Cheese Tenderloin, Chilled Cabbge, Lemon Wedge, Tartar sauce and 2 Radish Ponzu Dipping sauces. The set also includes a pair of katsu sets, each consisting of 100% Uonuma Koshihikari Rice, Miso Soup, Chawanmushi, Chilled Cabbage, Sesame, Pickles, and Ice Cream. Plus, there are free refills for rice, miso soup, and cabbage.
Pork loin was overall juicy, tender, not too oily, had a thick layer of white fats, and had a nice crispy breaded crumb exterior. However, the most inner core may be a tad dry and aged. But when eaten with the savoury umami homemade tonkatsu sauce, it's pure ecstasy. If tonkatsu sauce is not your favourite, there is still tartar sauce and radish ponzu dipping. Crab cream croquette was creamy and piping hot, exploding with flavour when you bite into it. Fried shrimp were long and tastisfyingly crunchy, with clean-tasting oil that enhances the flavour. Cheese tenderloin stood out the most, oozing with a great cheesy pull. Its soft, chewy yet creamy texture is simply awesome.

Shredded cabbage was fresh and evenly shredded, perfect to pair with goma dressing. Chawanmushi was smooth, wobbly, and packed with umami flavour. Miso soup was hearty and savoury. The matcha ice cream served at the end of the meal was delightful, especially when served in an icy cold frosty bowl.
Iced Green Tea ($2.20) is refillable. If you're dining alone, consider getting their Loin Katsu Set (Medium) for $23, which includes a piece of pork loin katsu along with the katsu set for a fulfilling meal.

This dish was a symphony of flavours, featuring cold smoked abalone, yunnan shuhua, bell pepper sorbet, peach gum, ice plant, and bonito ponzu. The bell pepper sorbet was a delightful surprise, enhancing both the sweetness and smokiness of the abalone in a unique way that I had never tasted before.
The bonito ponzu was another standout element of the dish, bursting with rich umami and savory notes that lingered on my palate, leaving a memorable impression. What truly impressed me was the generous portion size; the dish included not just one, but three whole abalones, making it an exceptional value for such a high-quality dining experience
Loved both pizzas!! Pepperoni had the right amt of savoury and Mario truffle had the right balance
