Cold Flings is a cosy cafe serving ice cream till 2am daily at High Park Residences. Indoor seatings are minimal but they do have outdoor seatings too. I tried their oolong osmanthus on a cone. The ice cream was creamy but fell short on the floral/tea flavours and their cones were not crispy either. I expected something better when they charged premium prices for their flavours. 》$5.50 (Gold Flavour) + $1 Cone

Deep within the heartlands of Sengkang (Fernvale), @coldflings is a Gelato & Waffles, Açaí Cafe that can satisfy your dessert cravings at odd hours in the night!😉

What we enjoyed was their Buttery Waffles with 2 scoops of Gelato:

👉Chrysanthemum Cacao Nibs
So refreshing and not too sweet!

👉Chocolate Indulgence
Love that the flavour was robust. In collaboration with Vitaminmall, this contains collagen peptides & probiotics!

If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d highly recommend you to visit this newly opened ice-cream cafe! Dine-in seats within the cafe can be quite limited but there is an outdoor seating area which can probably accommodate about 3-4 groups.👍

Checked out Cold Flings, a new ice-cream parlour that has recently opened its doors within a condominium complex named High Park Residences near Thanggam LRT Station on the Sengkang LRT (West Loop). Being situated at a publicly accessible area of the condominium complex, the ice-cream parlour is situated outside another dining establishment named Lao Di Fang, which is run by the folks behind the now-defunct Tong Shun 東順 that was previously situated along Jalan Kayu. Featuring a slightly monochrome look with mostly white and grey furniture and fittings, Cold Flings does seem to be a spot that would highly appeal to the younger crowd. Given how it occupies a single shop unit however, space does seem like somewhat of a constraint here — dine-in seatings within the cafe are limited to a table good for five (5) pax, and three other tables good for two (2) pax each; there are however some outdoor seatings available as well. Whilst ice-cream pretty much seems like their core business, the Cold Flings does offer its patrons with Açai bowls as well. For its ice-cream offerings, patrons can opt for either cup or cone options — Butter Waffles and Pandan Waffles are also available as well. Beverage options include a variety of cold brew coffee, cold brew tea, as well as canned beverages; just to name a few.

Skimming through the different flavours of ice-cream which Cold Flings has in stock in their display fridge, we found ourselves eventually going for the Oolong Osthmanthus — probably since we are big fans of tea-flavoured ice-cream in general. Opting for our scoop of ice-cream to come in a cup, we felt that the ice-cream which we have opted for is smooth and creamy; there weren’t any clumpy bits or icy bits that we have experienced with the scoop of ice-cream we had. Flavour-wise, we found the scoop of ice-cream to be pretty decent overall — that is indeed a rather evident note of tea going on with the ice-cream from the Oolong aspect, though we did feel that the flavour was a little lacking of the Osthmanthus bit where it could have been a little more floral somewhat.

Whilst we had only tried just a small variety of what Cold Flings have to offer, we felt that the offerings at Cold Flings are pretty decent in general — the ice-cream is alright, though we were a little more impressed with their Cold Brew (White) that comes slightly sweetened yet punchy; the sort which we would have expected from some of the more established cafes serving up specialty coffee. Given what they have to offer, we do feel it is a little difficult to justify one to make an out-of-the-way visit here; Cold Flings is after all located a little deep within Sengkang, which requires a little bit of effort to get to. That being said, it is most certainly a spot that residents around the neighbourhood would appreciate — a cosy spot for a catch up with some friends or quality time with the family over some gelato and coffee.
