Matcha White Chocolate Almond ($3.80)

I saw their feed for this before so I wanted to try since then. I felt that their matcha was not much taste and slightly sweet due to white chocolate but their almond topping got a lot of. They also sell Green Tea Latte and other drinks on the menu also to pair with the donuts.

Clockwise from top: lime pistachio, yuzu citrus, matcha, orh nee

1. Lime pistachio: Not bad, the taste of the lime filling was strong enough but the couldn't taste the pistachio which was used as a topping
2. Citrus yuzu: sweet and tangy, my favourite of the lot and one of the few exceptions i enjoy as someone who does not really like donuts
3. Matcha: had high hopes since i love matcha, but give this a skip! Matcha flavour was so subtle, cant really tell its matcha
4. Orh nee: another crowd favourite bestseller which i thought was ok, but personally prefer cream fillings that are on the lighter side

Plus points to the cashier for being so friendly! Would go back to get the yuzu citrus again and try other flavours like pulut hitam.

Paying homage to our local favourites in a joint effort with Pine Garden, @citydonutsg offers up freshly made doughnuts with a local twist, and the Singaporeans in us were excited to try these interesting flavours!

๐™‹๐™ช๐™ก๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ƒ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ข ๐Ÿฅฅ ($2.40) - Topped with a few strands of shredded coconut, I wished the cream was more rich, but it was quite light and didn't exactly hit the notes of a good Pulut Hitam dessert: Black glutinous rice, coconut milk and pandan leaves. I did like that it wasn't too sweet though... ๐Ÿค”

The pastry to yam filling ratio was just nice, and the yam paste wasnโ€™t overwhelmingly sweet. That really allowed me to get a proper taste of both the pastry and the fillings. The donut pastry was more towards a bread texture, and there was a thin layer of sugar coating on the outside. A good pick for those that prefer something less sweet, though it felt more like yam bread than a donut.

Thereโ€™s an ongoing promotion currently, where you can pair your donut with hot tea or coffee for an additional $1. A pretty nice deal I think.

The shop has a seating area at the side with small tables, favouring customers coming in pairs. We visited on a weekday early evening and it was relatively quiet - made for a nice spot to have our tea while watching people walk by.

Finally tried this!!! Itโ€™s pretty average, not a big fan of it. Would prefer the Milo dinosaur cream to be more consistent in the donut though
