A very popular food chain from China, Kua Food 夸父炸串 specialising with their fried skewers has expanded their franchise outlet here in Singapore.

Now you can find them at the basement of Chinatown Point.

First, choose the skewers you want from the choice of meat and vegetables. Then they will fried them with special sauce and seasoning.

I’m always in a rush when I find myself at Chinatown 😂 so I’m glad that the new Oldtown Coffee Concept Store at Chinatown Point, Oldtown Express, is a grab and go kind of joint! Now I can fill my stomach and get my caffeine fix despite my busy schedule. And don’t say bojio! Enjoy selected $4 beverages and $7 Flower Bun Sets from now till 31 Jan 2022. I love the flavours of the Curry Flower Bun! To be frank, I wasn’t expecting much but the curry contained within is super flavourful, definitely not something you would expect from a grab and go joint.

At the new Kra Pow at Chinatown Point.
Kra Pow’s Slow Braised Pork Meat Cuts on Rice ($9.50 nett) with that ter-kah meat falling easily off, melt-in-the-mouth fats, and unravelling collagen also makes this a worthy-dish to have.

The addition of both pickled and green vegetables (which helps cut through the greasiness) and half an egg, garlic and chillies helped make this a complete dish as well.

What’s your favourite Thai eatery in Singapore? Cos I do few some are quite... well overrated 55555

Addicted to their potato chips infused with strong and rich truffle taste and perfectly flavoured with parmesan cheese.

Personally love their original flavour so much I think I'm going back to the store to get them again soon.

Hop over to my story highlights to see what went on during the launch!

Thanks @growpublicrelations @aromatruffle for having me!

Chinatown Point has revamped the basement with a wide array of takeaway kiosks. Apart from Egg Stop, there’s also Hot Star Chicken, Wok Hey, Prima Deli, Xiao Ban, CIO Enzyme Drink, Ma La Tang, and more.

We ordered two toast sets from Egg Stop using Burpple Beyond, and a bowl of delicious Ma La Tang to share. There’s a communal area with a few tables that you can stand around to share food with your family and friends which I think is brilliant.

Really enjoyed the food we ordered, and it was lovely to have such a casual family meal just standing around a small table like that. Wish the area could be expanded more, with more frequent cleaning as the tablecloths were quite dirty, and there were flies constantly buzzing about so as to improve the whole dining experience.
