On boarding the pao fan trend, with another place that sell this recently famous Teochew dish.

San Pin has opened their second outlet here in the food centre, serving those who work around here.

For the mixed of sliced fish and fried fish for $6, it comes with generous portion of rice that fried to become crispy. There’s also lala in it.

A bit of a throwback to the $10 tendon from Gastro Fujiyama at China Square Food Centre. Decent and definitely cheaper alternative to the many tendon places popping up, their rendition features a tempura hard boil egg (but the yolk is not completely cooked so you still get a bit of runny yolk action). The simple bowl also has the usual - tempura shrimp, sweet potato and egg plant. But it is a little greasy and the batter is thicker if you compare with the other tendons out there, which was expected. In all, a good try for the price tag!

Flavorful, spicy with lots of peanuts!! Not sure how to describe a mala but this is my go-to. I’ve visited it 4-5 times.

Located in the food court just opposite Capital Square/Dean & Deluca. (Exit Telok Ayer mrt)
