Wasn't intending to lunch here but I am glad I finally am able to strike this off my personal to-try list after so long!

Hadn't had many Kolo Mee in my life but this wasn't quite as chewy as the one I have had at Oil Town Sarawak Kolo Mee in Yishun — this felt overall a little bit more moist and felt like as though it was cooked a little too long. Nonetheless it still works well especially since its laced in this savoury sauce after being mixed, and those fried dumplings were decently crisp and quite reasonably packed with meat too. The portion of noodles was also pretty generous for a $3.50 bowl of noddles — totally would be fine for me to finish if I skipped a meal in the middle of the day!

Chicken riceeeeee, my guilty pleasure. 😝This silky, smooth version from Chicken House using kampung chicken was certainly as good as it sounded on Burpple!

While not the best I've had, the chicken was surprisingly tender for kampung chicken and very tasty, sitting in a pool of sauces that's perfect for spooning over your rice. The only thing that was kinda off-putting was the super peppery soup. 🔥

$3.50. Really worth it however I felt that the noodles was not springy enough and I did not like the fact that they gave too much noodles. Also, there were some portions of the dish whereby the noodles were all lumped together, making it nearly impossible to eat. Soup was very salty but the fishball was good, it was huge and round. Wouldn't eat this mee pok again though, don't really find it that fantastic.

Give them extra points for being OCD too! They pack the cucumbers separately from the chicken, sauces also separate too. You only drizzle (or if you like pour all) the soy sauce over the cucumbers and chicken when you are about to eat. Cucumbers stay crunchy and chicken not wet and soggy too. Brilliant for Ta Pow home!

Deep fried chicken that's so flavorful. With their spicy chili, so addictive!
